Chaturbate fan clubs explained: what you pay and what you get
A fan club is a monthly subscription to one performer. What it costs, the two ways to pay, what you get for it, and how to tell if it's worth joining.
Once you've found a performer you keep coming back to, you'll probably notice the fan club: a green name in chat, a mention of perks in their bio, a button to join. It's a monthly subscription to that one performer, and it works differently from tipping and from the site-wide supporter membership.
This guide covers the viewer side: what you pay, how you're billed and what you get. It's based on the guide Chaturbate gives performers for setting up a fan club, which we read on 9 October 2026, and it applies on GirlCamHub too, since that runs on Chaturbate. If you're a performer setting one up, starting a Chaturbate fan club covers your side of it.
What a fan club costs
Each performer sets their own price, anywhere from 50 to 2,500 tokens a month. That's a wide range. At the token prices we checked, where a token costs roughly 8 to 14 cents depending on the package you buy, a 50-token fan club works out at somewhere around $4 to $7 for each month, and the top of the range runs into hundreds of dollars.
Most of the difference comes down to the performer and what they promise members. A cheap fan club is usually a way of saying thanks and getting the green name; an expensive one should come with perks you'd actually use.
Two ways to pay
You can pay monthly by credit card, in which case you're billed each month and the performer receives their tokens when the payment goes through. Or you can pay in tokens, which are taken three months at a time, up front.
That second option is easy to misread. A fan club priced at 100 tokens a month costs 300 tokens the day you join with tokens. Check your balance first, and check how renewal works before you join, so you aren't surprised three months later.
What you get automatically
Two things come with every fan club, whatever the performer adds:
- A green username in that performer's chat, so they can tell at a glance that you're a member.
- The ability to send that performer a private message.
Performers can also choose to make some of their photos or videos free to fan club members.
What depends on the performer
Everything else is up to them, and they're asked to list it in their bio. Chaturbate suggests ideas such as free or cheaper ticket shows, exclusive photos and videos, shout-outs in chat, discounted private shows and rewards for long-time members. There's one more the site builds in: a performer can let fan club members spy on their private shows for free, or for less than everyone else pays. None of those come automatically, so read the bio before you join. If the perks aren't written down anywhere, ask the performer, or assume the green name and messaging are what you're paying for.
Fan club or supporter membership?
They're easy to confuse, but they do different jobs:
| What | Fan club | Supporter membership |
|---|---|---|
| Who it's for | One performer | The whole site |
| Price | Set by the performer, 50 to 2,500 tokens a month | $19.95, billed monthly |
| Private messages | To that performer | Private messaging on the site |
| Visible in chat | Green name in that performer's room | Custom chat font and colour |
| Other perks | Whatever the performer offers | No ads, anonymous tips, room previews, a one-time 200 tokens |
If you mostly watch one or two performers, a fan club puts your money where it counts for them. If you move around the site, the supporter membership is the more useful upgrade. Is Chaturbate's supporter membership worth it? goes through it in detail.
Is it worth joining?
It's worth it when three things are true: you visit that performer regularly, the perks in their bio are things you'd otherwise pay for (a discounted private show or free ticket shows can cover the cost on their own), and the monthly price fits your budget without crowding out everything else.
It's less worth it if you join on impulse during a show, or for a performer you watch once a month. Paid by card, it's billed again every month, and small monthly amounts add up. Setting a cam budget has a simple way to plan for recurring costs alongside tips, and what Chaturbate shows really cost turns token prices into dollars.
Questions people ask
Do I need a supporter membership to join a fan club?
They're separate subscriptions: one goes to a performer, the other to the site. Chaturbate's guide to fan clubs doesn't list supporter membership as a requirement.
Can I message a performer without joining their fan club?
Fan club members can always message the performer whose club they've joined. Supporter membership also adds private messaging.
What's the green name for?
It shows the performer, and everyone in the room, that you're a member of their fan club. Performers use it to spot their regulars. The other colors in chat mean something too; Chaturbate username colors explains them.
