Deleting your cam account: deactivate, delete, and what stays behind
Deactivating is not a pause and deletion cannot be undone after seven days. Here is what each option does, what the site keeps, and the steps to take first.
Where the options are
On GirlCamHub, everything to do with closing an account sits in one place. Open the Security Center from the link at the bottom of any page, then the Privacy Center inside it. When we checked on 28 September 2026, it offered three things: export your data, deactivate your account, and permanently delete it. There's also a Disable Account link at the bottom of every page, which goes to the same deactivation screen.
If you've turned on 2-step verification, the site asks for your code before it opens the deactivate and delete screens. That's a good thing: nobody who picks up your unlocked laptop can close your account for you.
Deactivating is not a pause
It's natural to read "deactivate" as the gentle option, like switching an account off for a while. On GirlCamHub it isn't. The deactivation screen says it disables the account and prevents further use, that your account information will then be permanently deleted under the site's data retention policies, and that the site may not be able to re-enable it later.
So treat deactivation as a slower road to deletion, not as a break. If what you want is time away, you don't need either option. Sign out, use the Security Center's button to log out of every other session, cancel any membership, and simply stop visiting. Your account will still be there if you come back.
What permanent deletion does
The deletion screen is more detailed, and it asks you to tick four separate confirmations before it will go ahead. Between them, they say:
- It starts removing your personal information. Requesting deletion begins removing personally identifiable information from the site's servers.
- You get seven days to change your mind. After you ask, you have 7 days to cancel before the deletion takes effect.
- The site may check it's really you. Every request goes through a review, and you may be asked for proof that the account is yours.
- Some records are kept anyway. Purchase and payment records, age-verification documents where they apply, and records of any rule breaches or restrictions can be kept for as long as they're needed.
- Tokens and content are lost. Everything on the account, including unused tokens, is forfeited. The privacy policy adds that there's no transfer or refund, and that covers purchases and memberships too.
- Your username is gone for good. It's permanently reserved, so nobody, including you, can use it again. The Privacy Center also says you won't be permitted another account on the site.
That last point is the one people miss. Deleting isn't a way to start over with a clean account. It's a way to leave.
Before you press anything
- Use or accept losing your tokens Whatever is left in your balance is forfeited on deletion, with no refund. Spend it, or decide you're fine letting it go. If you come back later, how to buy Chaturbate tokens explains how to buy only what you'll use.
- Cancel any membership first A supporter membership is a monthly charge. Cancel it through the contacts on the Billing page, keep the confirmation, and don't count on deletion to stop the billing for you.
- Export your data if you want a copy The Privacy Center can put your data into a zip file, including your email addresses, profile, the chat messages you sent and your token history. It's ready within 48 hours, you can make up to 3 exports in 30 days, and the file is protected by a password that's shown to you only once, so write it down.
- Be sure you won't want to come back After deletion you can't open another account on the site, and your username is gone.
- Then choose deletion, not deactivation If leaving is what you want, the deletion screen tells you exactly what happens and gives you seven days to change your mind.
After you've asked
For the first week, the request can still be cancelled. The deletion screen doesn't say how, so if you change your mind, use the Support link at the bottom of any page straight away and mention the date you asked. Who to contact for what lists the site's help links.
Deleting the account doesn't touch what sits outside it, so tidy that up too:
- Your inbox. Receipts, password resets and notification emails stay where they are. If you used an address only for adult sites, you can close it once the deletion has gone through.
- Your browser. Remove the saved password and any bookmark, and clear the site from your history. Does incognito hide cam sites? explains what a browser keeps.
- Your statements. Past charges stay on your card or bank statement. Keep an eye on the next one in case a membership charge slips through, and contact billing support if it does. Paying for cam shows privately explains what each payment method shows.
Two questions people ask
Can I delete my account and open a new one?
Not on GirlCamHub. The Privacy Center says you won't be permitted another account, and your old username is permanently reserved.
Will the site erase everything about me?
Not everything. Your personal information is removed, but payment records, age-verification documents where they apply, and records about any rule breaches can be kept for as long as they're needed, including where the law requires it.
And on GoGirlCam?
There's no account to delete here, because GoGirlCam has no viewer accounts. If you've sent us a message through the contact form, our privacy policy explains how to ask us to delete it.
