Chaturbate rules for models: what's allowed and what gets you banned
The rules that catch new performers out: who can appear, where you can stream, being present, toys and costumes, money, promotion and the lines that mean an instant ban.
Most of Chaturbate's rules are what you'd expect. A handful aren't, and those are the ones that catch new performers out: rules about the room, about who walks past in the background, about a drink before a show.
We've gone through the community guidelines and terms as they stood on 6 October 2026 and pulled out what matters when you're starting. GirlCamHub runs on Chaturbate, so the same rules apply there. This is a summary, though, and Chaturbate's own advice is to read the full rules before your first broadcast. They do change.
The lines with zero tolerance
A few rules don't get a warning. Breaking them means a permanent ban, and in some cases a report to the authorities.
The biggest is anything involving minors. No one under 18 can appear on an account for any reason, and if a child can be heard on your stream, the site treats it as if they were in the room. That extends to looking young: roleplay as someone under 18 is banned, and so is using filters, props, costumes, makeup or room decor in a way that could make you look under 18, even unintentionally. Chaturbate says tips connected with this kind of violation are forfeited and donated to a charity such as NCMEC.
Consent is the other absolute. Content or discussion of non-consensual acts is banned, even as roleplay, and so is sharing anyone's content without their consent. Hate speech, displaying weapons (real or fake), threats, and doxing, meaning revealing or threatening to reveal someone's personal details, can all end an account too.
Who can be on camera
Everyone who appears has to be age-verified, either on your account or as a guest linked to it. Streaming with someone who isn't verified can cost you your own verification, or the account. Up to five people can be on camera at once. Blood relatives can't share an account or appear together.
The rule that surprises people is the one about walk-ins. The guidelines say you shouldn't broadcast at all if there's a risk of someone unverified appearing, so a flatmate who might wander through the room is a real problem. Chaturbate age verification for models explains the guest system.
Where you can stream
Only from a private indoor space. Public places are out, and that includes cars, moving or parked. Streaming outdoors is allowed only on private property, with the owner's consent, somewhere neighbours can't see, and after support has approved the location. That approval can be withdrawn at any time.
Being present
You can't stream while drunk or impaired by drugs, and the guidelines spell out that this includes legal prescriptions that affect you. Sleeping on camera isn't allowed either, and neither is appearing "hypnotised" or otherwise unable to consent.
Breaks are fine. For a short one, put up a full-screen "BRB" message. For anything longer, go offline and come back when you're ready. An empty room left live is exactly the situation in which someone unverified ends up on camera.
Toys, props, costumes and pets
Toys have to be products actually sold as sex toys. The guidelines rule out toys that are overly large, toys shaped like animals, and objects that look like everyday items. Anything mechanical, such as a machine, needs a proposal to support first, and you may be asked to sign a waiver.
Costumes and cosplay are welcome, with two exceptions: no military uniforms and no religious dress. And, as above, nothing that makes you look under 18.
Pets can appear on camera, as long as there's nothing that suggests anything inappropriate involving them.
A list of extreme acts is banned outright, even as roleplay, including anything involving choking, blood or bodily waste. If you're planning anything out of the ordinary, check the full list in the guidelines first.
Money and promotion
These are easy to break without meaning to:
- You can't ask viewers to pay you anywhere off the site, and you can't arrange meetings or offer escorting.
- Gambling isn't allowed, apart from the site's own contests and the games in its app directory.
- Selling or promoting weapons, drugs or other contraband is banned.
- You can promote your other sites, but only in the Social Media section of your bio. Don't put them on screen as overlays, and don't keep pushing viewers away from your room.
- Links aren't allowed in your room subject, or as the location shown in your bio.
Tip menus need a word too. The terms say viewers can't force you to perform or demand a refund if something on your menu doesn't happen. But they also say that repeatedly failing to honour your own tip menu can lead to action against your account. Only list what you're genuinely happy to do.
Uploads, games, music and AI
Only upload content you made yourself or have the right to share, such as an agreed collaboration with another performer. If an uploaded video has music in the background, Chaturbate mutes the whole video, so keep music, TV and films out of uploads.
You can stream video games, but only ones on the site's approved list; streaming others can get the account suspended. AI-generated or deepfake content that imitates a real person is banned, including content imitating you. Animated avatars that you control live are allowed.
Your side of the rules
The guidelines are just as clear about what you're entitled to. It's your room: you decide what happens on camera, you never have to do anything you don't want to, and you can say no, end any conversation and block anyone. They also make you responsible for reporting users who ask for anything against the rules, so don't play along with a request even as a joke. Block and report.
Anyone who harasses, coerces or blackmails a performer can be banned permanently.
Questions people ask
Can I have a drink while I'm streaming?
The rule is about being intoxicated or impaired, which isn't allowed. If you drink at all on camera, stay well clear of that line.
Can I promote my other pages, like a subscription site?
Yes, as long as it's in the Social Media section of your bio and not overlaid on your stream, and you don't keep sending viewers away from your room. Chaturbate vs OnlyFans for creators looks at how performers use a cam room and a subscription page together, and selling social media access covers selling accounts like Snapchat for tokens from the same section.
Can my partner join my shows?
Yes, once they're age-verified on your account or added as a guest. They can't appear before that, not even briefly. Camming as a couple covers the setup, who controls a shared account and how the money is paid.
Ready to start?
Chaturbate and GirlCamHub share the same rules and accounts, so you can sign up on either. GoGirlCam is run by GirlCamHub's owner, and we're paid when a performer who joins through our button goes on to earn. If you want to try it, the button below opens the broadcaster sign-up, and how to become a Chaturbate model covers the rest of what to know first.
