Ticket shows on Chaturbate: how to run one as a model
How a hidden ticket show works from your side, three popular ticket apps and what each does, how to price a ticket, when your room is ready for one and how to avoid the usual mishaps.
A ticket show turns your room into a small paid event. For a while your cam is hidden from everyone except the people who bought a ticket, and they get a show that the rest of the room only hears about. Chaturbate's own Creator Academy calls ticket shows a very popular strategy among its creators, and once you've seen how they work it's easy to see why: one show can be sold to many people at once, at a price that's much easier to agree to than a private.
This guide is for performers. It covers how a ticket show works from your side, three widely used ticket apps and what each one does, pricing, knowing when your room is ready, and the mistakes the app authors themselves warn about. It's based on the Creator Academy and the App Directory listings, read on 23 October 2026. GirlCamHub runs on Chaturbate with the same apps, so everything here applies on both. For how a ticket show looks to the people buying, see ticket, group and spy shows.
How a ticket show works
Unlike private shows, ticket shows aren't a setting in your account. They run through an app from the App Directory, which takes care of selling tickets, hiding your cam and letting ticket holders in. Viewers buy a ticket by tipping the amount you set. The details vary from app to app, but a show usually runs like this:
- Launch the app and set a price You choose the ticket price and, in most apps, a countdown until the show starts. The app starts advertising the show in chat.
- Sell tickets while you're still public Viewers tip the ticket price and go on the list. Your public show carries on in the meantime, which is often the best advert there is.
- The show starts When the timer runs out, or when you start it by hand, the app hides your cam. Only ticket holders can see you, and in most apps only they can chat.
- Late buyers can still join Many apps keep selling during the show unless you tell them to stop.
- End it and go back to public A command ends the show and your room is public again.
The Creator Academy adds that ticket apps can give free tickets to your fan club members or your moderators, which is worth setting up from the start.
Three popular ticket apps
There are dozens of ticket apps in the directory. These three cover the range from simple to everything-included.
Ticket Show is the plain option, described by its author as an uncomplicated ticket show. Once launched, a timer starts and the show is advertised in chat every three minutes. When the timer runs out the show starts by itself, or you can type /startshow to begin early, and /stopshow ends it whenever you like. Moderators get in free by default, though they can't add viewers, and people without tokens can't chat. If you've never run a ticket show, it's an easy one to learn on.
Ticket Show - Automated sits in the directory's list of top earning apps. It can start on a countdown or as soon as ticket sales reach a token target. It also lets smaller tips add up to a ticket, and can raise the price the moment the show begins, which rewards anyone who bought early. Fan club members can get a free or cheaper ticket. Timed warnings tell latecomers that the show is ending or that sales are about to close. When it's over, the app tells you how many tokens the show brought in and resets your room subject.
Dorothy's UltraApp is an all-in-one app, also in the top earning list, that combines goals with a ticket show. It can sell tickets in advance while a goal show is still running, give discounts to fans and VIPs, and run a Fan Appreciation show for fans and VIPs only. It can also keep a list of outstanding tickets for people who had to leave before the show started, or for everyone when a show had a problem, so they can use them next time.
Before running any app, read its full description and practise its commands on a quiet night. Our tip menu guide has a short checklist for choosing apps you can trust.
Pricing a ticket
Chaturbate pays performers 5 US cents a token, so the arithmetic is simple. If twenty people buy a 50-token ticket, that's 1,000 tokens, which comes to $50 for you. Ten people at 100 tokens comes to the same. That's the decision in a nutshell: a lower price sells more tickets, a higher one needs fewer buyers, and only your room can tell you which works better.
A few things help:
- Price against your private rate. A ticket is a shared show, so it should feel like good value next to booking you alone. If your private show rate is 30 tokens a minute, a ticket that costs the same as two minutes of private is an easy yes for a twenty-minute show.
- Say what the show includes and roughly how long it runs. People buy more readily when they know what they're paying for. Put that in your room subject, but leave the price out of it: the authors of Dorothy's UltraApp point out that a price written there doesn't update if you change it, while the app's own notices always show the current price.
- Use the early-bird effect. If your app can raise the price when the show starts, mention it in your adverts. It gives the undecided a reason to buy now.
- Look after your regulars. A free or reduced ticket for fan club members is one of the clearest perks you can offer them; Chaturbate fan clubs for models explains how to set one up.
When your room is ready
The single most useful piece of advice in these listings is about timing. The author of Ticket Show - Automated suggests waiting until your room's Users tab shows at least a thousand people. His reasoning: most of that number can't buy a ticket anyway. Many are anonymous visitors, many have accounts but have never bought tokens, and many bought tokens once and have nothing left. Most tickets, he says, are bought by people whose usernames show they've spent recently, and by fan club members.
The authors of Dorothy's UltraApp put it another way: switch to a ticket show when the room is busy and public tipping has slowed down, or when you'd like a more private show. In a quiet room, a hidden show can mean hiding your cam from everyone for the sake of two or three tickets, and the people who would have found you in the public list see nothing. When the room is small, tip goals and a menu usually do more for you, and ticket shows can wait until you've built a crowd.
Avoiding the usual mishaps
The app authors are candid about what goes wrong:
- Don't stop the app halfway through. The author of Ticket Show - Automated warns that deactivating it before the show is over empties the list of ticket holders. Back the list up during the show with /tslist so you can add people back if you need to.
- Plan for dropped streams. If your connection fails, the people who paid need to get back in. Keep that backup list handy, or use an app with outstanding tickets, so nobody pays twice.
- Let your moderators in. Some apps admit moderators free by default; check yours does, so they can keep the chat in order while your cam is hidden.
- Tell people when it starts. An advert in chat and a start time in your room subject sell more tickets than a sudden switch.
- Deliver what you advertised. Ticket buyers are often your best regulars, and a show that matches its description is what brings them back to the next one.
Ticket show, private or fan club?
| Option | Who it suits | How it's priced |
|---|---|---|
| Ticket show | A busy room, several people keen on the same show | One price per ticket, set in the app |
| Private show | One viewer who wants you to themselves | A rate per minute with a minimum, set in your account |
| Fan club | Regulars who want to support you every month | A monthly price, with perks such as free tickets |
Most rooms that run ticket shows use all three, and each one feeds the others.
Questions performers ask
Can people still buy a ticket after the show starts?
In many apps, yes. Ticket Show - Automated also has an optional timer that ends sales at a point you choose, with a warning to latecomers first.
What do people without a ticket see?
Your cam is hidden from them until the show ends. Chaturbate's guide describes hidden shows as visible only to viewers who've bought a ticket, or who are paying by the minute in apps that work that way.
Should I give my moderators free tickets?
The Creator Academy mentions it as an option, and it's sensible: your moderators can't keep order in a chat they can't see.
Where this fits
Ticket shows work best once your public show already draws a crowd. If it doesn't yet, start with how to get viewers on Chaturbate, and see how Chaturbate pays models for what happens to the tokens afterwards.
Chaturbate and GirlCamHub use the same rooms, apps and rules, so you can sign up as a broadcaster on either. One thing to be clear about: GoGirlCam has the same owner as GirlCamHub, and if a performer who joins through our button starts earning, we're paid a referral fee for it. The button below opens the broadcaster sign-up.
