How much Chaturbate pays models: token value, payouts and fees

If you're thinking about camming, you'll have two money questions sooner or later: what is each token actually worth to me, and how does the money reach my bank? Here are both answers for Chaturbate. GirlCamHub runs on the same platform, so everything below is identical there.

The payout details come from Chaturbate's Creator Academy, checked again on 23 October 2026. One thing you won't find is a figure for what performers "typically" earn. Chaturbate doesn't publish one, and the numbers on recruitment sites can't be checked. What we can do is show you the maths, so you can work out any figure yourself.

What a token is worth to you

Chaturbate pays performers 5 US cents for every token they receive. That's the long-standing rate, and it's the figure Wikipedia gives, citing Chaturbate's own broadcaster guide.

Viewers pay more than that for each token. When we checked the token packages on 10 October 2026, they cost between 8 and 14 cents a token by card, depending on the size of the package. The gap between what a viewer pays and the 5 cents you receive is the platform's share. What Chaturbate shows really cost has the full package list if you want to see it from the viewer's side.

The rule of thumb is simple: divide the tokens by 20 to get dollars.

So how much can you make?

Honestly, anything from nothing to a full-time income, and nobody can tell you in advance where you'll land. It depends on how many hours you stream, whether those hours suit your audience's time zones, how well your room fits the tags people search for, and above all on regulars who come back. A new room is usually quiet for a while.

What you can know is where the tokens come from and what each source is worth:

Here's how the maths works on made-up numbers. They're examples, not typical results.

• A goal. Thirty viewers tipping 20 tokens each towards a 600-token goal adds up to $30 for you.
• A private show. At 30 tokens a minute, a ten-minute private is 300 tokens, or $15. Raise the rate to 60 and the same ten minutes is worth $30.
• A fan club. Twenty members at 100 tokens each comes to 2,000 tokens, or $100, for every month they stay subscribed, before anyone tips at all.

Notice what moves the numbers: more people in the room, people who come back, and a reason for them to spend. That's why the guides on getting your first viewers, tip menus and goals and starting a fan club matter more to your income than any single setting.

What you need before you can be paid

Chaturbate only pays performers whose age check has been approved and who have signed the Independent Broadcaster Agreement online. You do both in your account, and Chaturbate age verification for models explains which IDs are accepted and how to get through the check first time.

After that, you add your payment details. Spell your first and last name exactly as they appear on your ID and the agreement, because a mismatch is an easy way to hold up your first payment.

You can have the money paid to someone else's account, but that person has to confirm they're over 18 and sign the agreement too.

When you get paid

The standard schedule is twice a month, and Chaturbate also offers daily payouts.

The twice-monthly pay periods run from the 1st to the 15th, and from the 16th to the last day of the month. When a period ends, the payments for it start processing, and Chaturbate says they're all sent within 7 business days. You get an email when yours has gone out. Nothing is processed at weekends or on US public holidays.

So tokens you earn on 10 March belong to the 1–15 March period, and the payment should be sent within 7 business days after the 15th. How long it then takes to reach you depends on the method you picked, which is the "delivery time" in the table below.

If your balance is under the minimum for your method, it isn't lost. It rolls over into the next pay period until it reaches the minimum.

Picking a method

If you're in the US, ACH direct deposit is the obvious one to look at first: no fee, a $50 minimum and one to three business days. A paper check by USPS is also free, but slower, especially outside the US.

In Europe, SEPA costs $8.95 a time. Paxum and CosmoPayment have much smaller fees, so on smaller balances they can work out cheaper, but you'll need an account with them first. In Canada, EFT costs the same as SEPA.

The crypto options are quick, but the fees are high: $45 for Bitcoin or Ethereum, and 35 USDT or USDC plus a network fee for the stablecoins, with a $200 minimum on all of them. On a small balance, a big share of it would go on fees, so they only start to make sense once you're regularly paid larger amounts. FedEx checks cost $40 in the US and $80 elsewhere, so they're rarely worth it.

Keep in mind that the fee comes off every payment. Cash out 1,000 tokens through Paxum and you receive $49.50; through SEPA, $41.05. If your method has a fee, letting the balance build up before you cash out costs you less.

Taxes

The platform's privacy policy says broadcasters may be asked for taxpayer information, and that payments are reported to the US tax authority and to other countries' equivalents where that's required. Keep a simple record of what you receive and when from the start, and check with an accountant or your local tax office about what you need to declare.
